Kotoko finished the league in fifth position, which is considered as a disappointment to many of its fans, especially after being in pole position to win the league at a point in the season.

The 23-year-old who played a crucial role in Kotoko’s setup, admitted the failure on the side of his playing mates.

Much was expected of them in the just-ended season after recording a splendid preseason.

He said: “It’s very painful, not being able to enter into the top four spot.

“I plead with the fans to forgive us after a very poor showing in this year’s league. Nonetheless, we promise them a better season next year and, we will definitely not let them them down.”

Adams also reiterated the need for continuous support from their fans as they represent the biggest shareholders of the club and their interest is very paramount to the playing body.
