Egypt: Ghana International Projects Succesful El Darkleya Campaign

Egypt-based Ghanaian forward, Benjamin Acheampong, is enjoying a prosperous season in the Egyptian top flight after his arrival in the summer transfer window.

The former Wa All Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko agile attacker, joined El Dakhleya after a successful stint in the Jordanian league but has already settled in at his new club and has set his sight on a successful campaign with the North Africans.

The Ghana youth international expressed his readiness to relaunch his career when the new season kicks-off in Egypt after his official unveiling.

Speaking to Sports Crusader ahead of his maiden season in the Egyptian top flight, the Ghanaian import remains confident of finding his scoring boot once the season begins.

“It is another platform to showcase my God-given talent and make a case for myself.

“I don’t usually set targets at the start of the season but I am sure I will find my scoring boot very very soon.

“The initial reaction from the team suggests we will have an impressive season as a whole”, Acheampong told Sports Crusader.

The former Wa All Stars attacker enjoyed an impressive season in Jordan with 12 goals for Aqaba in an injury ravaged season.

The speedy attacker earned a reputation across the continent with his aerial threat and quick bursts of pace on either flank.

Acheampong inked a two-year rolling deal with the Egyptian side after a fruitful negotiation last month.

The forward is expected to make his debut later today away to Aswan in the Egyptian top flight.
