Aduana Stars have fingered referee Ali Rahman Alhassan for their 2-1 defeat against Wa All Stars, labelling him as a “disgrace”, via their official Twitter handle.
The former champions, prior to the match, questioned the decision to use the Tamale-based referee for the GPL’s title decider game.
However, the club’s official twitter handle, which attracted heavy criticism for questioning the credibility of referee Alhassan, was relentless and went ahead to brand the referee as a “disgrace”, after awarding All Stars two penalties in their slim title-deciding game which they eventually lost by 2-1.
The tweet read, “In fact referee Ali Alhassan is indeed a big disgrace to Ghana Football.”
The 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League enters into week 30 with Wa All Stars already declared champions whilst Aduana Stars are certain to finish second.
