Chelsea’s Ghanaian loanee, Christian Atsu, made his long-awaited debut for Newcastle United in a landslide win for the Toon Army.
The Ghana international headed to the St. James Park on a season-long loan deal from London side, Chelsea FC, on transfer deadline day but has since been sidelined for Rafael Benitez’s Championship side.
The 24-year-old tricky attacker dazzled fans at Loftus Road as the Toon Army run riot, courtesy a deserved 0-6 away win over Queen Park Rangers.
The former FC Porto Star man capitalised on his 30 minutes spent on the field to make a case for more playing time with his usual flicks and tricks.
Atsu came on for French international, Yuan Guofran in the 61st minute as goals from Jonjo Shelvey, Ayoz Perez, Alexander Mitrohic and Grant Hanley handed NUFC a dream win over the spirited QPR.
Atsu joined chelsea at the start of the 2013/14 EPL season but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club, having served four loan deals at Vitesse Arnheim, Everton, Malaga and now Newcastle United FC.
