Arsenal Confirm Striker Injury

Arsenal have confirmed that Theo Walcott missed the north London side’s Champions League draw with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night due to a “mild knee injury”.

The England international was not part of the matchday squad for Arsenal’s Group A opener in Paris.

Walcott would have been expecting to be involved in the game but the fact that he missed Tuesday’s clash with a knee problem now makes him a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Hull City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Arsene Wenger is then quoted as having said The Daily Mirror: “He [Walcott] has a knee problem, I think it’s very short-term but he’s not completely fit so I left him at home.”

The 27-year-old forward has scored one goal and made one assist in four Premier League games for the north London club so far this season.

Walcott played 75 minutes of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Southampton at the weekend and will be hoping to earn a regular spot in Arsene Wenger’s side this season.
