Hiram Boateng Misses On League One Promotion

English born Ghanaian forward Hiram Kojo Boateng saw his league one promotion ambitions dashed by Wimbledon at the Wembley sports stadium.

The talented attacking prodigy missed out on the sole ticket to the third tier of English football with a painful 2-0 defeat in the play off grand finale.

The Ghanaian forward rejoined the Pilgrims from Premiership side Crystal Palace after an impressive stint at the start of the campaign but was powerless to stop his side from a final day heart break in Wembley.

The london based attacker passed through the ranks of the Eagles in his formative years as a professional but was shipped out to Plymouth Argyle at the start of the season.

The 20 year old was however given a lifeline when Allan Pardew promoted him to the top flight of English football as a reward for his high grade football in the English league two.

Lyle Taylor and Adebayo Akinfenwa however dented the promotion ambitions of Boateng and his Plymouth Argyle team mates with the goals for Wimbledon.

The sprouting young forward racked home two strikes to his name in his 30 appearances across the two stints.
