Liberty Skipper Targets Strong First Round Finish

Liberty Professionals captain, Samuel Sarfo has said that there is the need for his side to finish the first round of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League on a high.

The Ghanaian top flight league is in its half time break but the Dansoman based side have a game in hand against Medeama SC at the Carle Reindorf Park on Wednesday.

And ahead of the encounter, Sarfo, whose side have surprised many with their performances in the first round of the league says they need to finish stronger.

“We need to finish stronger” Sarfo told SportsCrusader.com.

“It is our last game of the first round and we are going to prepare and come back strongly. It is football and anything at all can happen but we have to concentrate on that particular game and comply with the coaches instruction”, he added.

Given his judgment about Liberty’s overall performance in the first round of the league, Samuel Sarfo said, “It’s been good. The entire team have been helpful to the course. Winning close to about seven games and drawing a couple of games. I think we are on course”.

Liberty are currently sitting 5th on the league log with 24 points having recorded 7 wins, 4 defeats and 3 draws.

The Scientific Soccer lads will finish the first round of the league in second place should they beat Medeama SC on Wednesday in Dansoman.
