David Accam Rescues Chicago From Defeat

Black Stars forward David Accam earned a crucial point for Chicago Fire with a well taken strike at home to Portland Timbers.

The pocket size attacker has been crocked by injuries all season but his third strike of the campaign rescued Chicago Fire from the claws of defeat.

Accam returned to the first team action after missing the last six matches for Fire and a needed to 20th minute equalizer to draw parity for his struggling MLS side.

Diego Valerie shot Portland Timbers into a fully deserved lead 18 minutes into the game but Accam’s response lasted just 2 minutes after his side went behind.

The talented forward has now scored 3 goals in his paltry 5 matches honoured in a season marred by injuries.

Black Stars custodian Adam Kwarasey continues his rehabilitation on the treatment table for Portland Timbers as both clubs extended their woeful start to the 2016 MLS.
