Ghana To Get A Baseball Complex Soon

Baseball in Ghana will soon be given a face-lift with the construction of a brand new Baseball complex in Accra.


The facility will comprise of a major league baseball size pitch and lower league field.


The facility, which will be situated at The University of Ghana campus in Legon will serve as a center for Baseball development for the entire West African sub-region.


The two-pitch complex will be funded by the African Development Foundation (ADF), a New York based organization in collaboration with Baseball Volunteers Ghana.

Confirming the news about to construction of the facility, Mr. George Ntim, the President of the ADF told SportsCrusader.com that his outfit is hoping to get support from local companies so as to complete the facility on time.







“We are constructing a baseball field on the campus of the University of Ghana and hopefully we get some support from the local companies so that we can complete this field once and for all for this kids”, Mr. Ntim said.


“Because as you can tell, the passion is there, they are very eager and they just need their own permanent home so they ccan practice and play every day”, he added.


With construction work already underway, the facility is expected to be completed by the close of the decade as the game of Baseball continues to spread fast in Ghana.
