Roma Midfielder Snubs Chelsea For Manchester United

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has ‘declined’ a move to Chelsea and would prefer a move to Manchester United, according to Gazzetta dello Sport correspondent Nicolò Schira.

Chelsea were thought to be in the advanced stages of negotiations for Nainggolan, but it seems the Belgian star is not too keen on a switch to the Bridge. The Blues’ new boss Antonio Conte was thought to have the inside track on any deal for a Serie A player, but he may have to get used to players preferring moves elsewhere with all the managerial talent now existing in the Premier League.

Some such talent is ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who may well have turned Nainggolan’s head now that he’s taken over as Man Utd manager. With rumours of United looking to strengthen their midfield, perhaps the battling ball-winner knows something we don’t.

On the other hand, this could all be a grand ploy by Nainggolan’s agent to improve either his deal at Roma or any personal terms yet to be agreed with Chelsea.Chelsea were thought to be in the advanced stages of negotiations for Nainggolan, but it seems the Belgian star is not too keen on a switch to the Bridge.
