Dede Ayew Delighted With FIFA"s General Secretary Appointment

Ghanaian International Dede Ayew has expressed his delight towards the appointment of  Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura of Senegal as FIFA Secretary General.

Ms Samoura is the first female to receive the appointment having served for 21 years for the United Nations programs and she currently occupys the position of the UN’s Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Nigeria.


The Swansea star man in an interview with BBC Sports said “I am proud of the appointment by FIA, it is a step in the right direction, we hope and pray she is able to deliver with the mandate which is very tough, but we will support her achieve her course”.


The Black Stars deputy captain had scored 12 goals in the 2015/2016 English Premier League which makes the highest third African goal scorer.


The 26-year-old is reported to be linked with several English clubs this summer, but claims in the interview that he is happy at Swansea.
