Wa All Stars’ defensive guard, Moses Nyarko, is optimistic his side will pick the maximum points when they take on Liberty Professionals in their penultimate away match of the season.
The energetic left-back stoked the flames ahead of the crunch tie at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park as his All Stars side seeks to close the contest for the GPL trophy in the capital.
Wa All Stars looks set for their first-ever top flight trophy with three fixtures left to be honoured, but the skinny defender wants his side to kill off any mathematical possibilities going into the last home tie against second-placed Aduana Stars.
The ambitious rear guard is leaving no stone unturned as his side bids to make history.
All Stars lead the log with 48 points after 27 matches and could clinch the trophy in Accra if they pick the maximum points and Aduana Stars drop points at home to TCFC.
“It’s a game of equal chances played by 11 players each and I see no reason why we cannot win in Accra.
“To be the best, you have to beat the best and I’m sure with our current form, no team will want to play us.
“The first leg at the Wa Park ended all square but we will pick more than they had in Wa at the end of the 90 minutes.
“A win in Dansoman will take the pressure off our supporters and lay a very strong foundation for our final home match of the season, one that could win us the ultimate trophy”, Moses Nyarko told Sports Crusader.
The skinny defender stormed the top flight with stellar performances down the flanks for Enos Kwame Adepa’s league leaders.
His 17 appearances across the season in a highly competitive Wa All Stars defensive unit, has been punctuated by injuries.
