Derreck Boateng Steers Rayo OKC To USL Summit

Ex-Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng, propelled his USL side to the summit of the log with a 1-0 win over Tampa Bay.

The nomadic midfielder marked his return to the first team with awesome display to send Rayo OKC one point clear at the top of the division.

Boateng dropped to the treatment room over the past week but made a three-minute cameo in their last fixture ahead of the Tampa Bay visit.

The 33-year-old completed an explosive night in the US second tier league with a precise assist for his title-chasing side to open a slim lead at the top of the log.

Rayo OKC made a dream start to the season with one defeat in six outings and a place at the top of the division as well.
