GPL Match-Day 21 Preview: AshGold v Ebusua Dwarfs

Reigning champions, AshantiGold SC will look to preserve their four game unbeaten run in the ongoing Ghana Premier League (GPL) when they welcome Ebusua Dwarfs to the mining township of Obuasi.

This Match-Day 21 encounter will be played at the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Miners go in search of their fifth win of the season.

The champions have been an improved outfit this second round of the competition and, will the favoured to win this one in front of their home fans.

They are 10th on the ladder with 24 points and, can move to seventh if they win this game and other results go their way this weekend.

The Miners hold the enviable record as the club with the most drawn games this season (12) from their 20 outings and, will not like to draw this one especially so as they have started putting positive results together lately.

Ebusua Dwarfs were very impressive in midweek in anninaliating Kumasi Asante Kotoko 4-1 at home in Cape Coast and, will feel confident of getting something out of this one.

Dwarfs are a point and a place bellow the Miners on the table and a win could take them to eighth on the log if other results go in their favour.

Achieving that though will be a very big demand on the Abontoa Abontoa Boys as they have not won away from home all season and, AshGold will not want to their first victims away from the Robert Mensah Stadium this season.

They drew 1-1 in the first round tie in Cape Coast and this could be another closely fought affair with the likely outcome slightly favouring the home side.
