Liberty Youth Goalkeeper, Issaka Abubakar Mohammed has passed on at the 37 military hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning, SportsCrusader.com can confirm.
His death come two days after colliding with an opponent striker while playing for the Dansoman based side in an invitational tournament at the St. Thomas Aquinas Park.
The 18-year old who has been on the radar of Liberty Professionals for the past two years was trying to prevent an early goal when the knee of an on rushing striker collided with his chest.
Following the incident, Issaka was rushed to the Police Hospital and was referred to the 37 military hospital due to Scarcity of beds.
He regain consciousness at the Hospital before where he was pronounced dead on Sunday morning.
His body will be laid to rest on Monday morning according to the customs of the Islamic religion.
