Italy: Kwadwo Asamoah Wins ICC With Juventus

Black Stars versatile midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah, added to his trophy list, the International Championship Cup, at the expense of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Juventus star powered the Bianconneris  to a crucial 2-1 win over their English opponents to lay hands on the first off-season silverware.

The former Stade Fruili midfielder extended his fine run of form to help his side win the tight preseason fixture, courtesy a tight 2-1 triumph over Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Early strikes from Paulo Dybala and Mehdi Benatia handed the Italian champions a commanding lead before Argentina forward, Erik Lamela pulled one back.

Asamoah joined Ghana duo of Jeff Schlupp and Daniel Amartey, who won the trophy over Glasgow Celtic over the weekend.

Having endured a torrid campaign last season due to recurring injuries, Kwadwo’s off-season fitness hints of an explosive performance for the Old Ladies.
