GPL Preview: Academy Boys Host Leaders At Sogakope

West African Football Academy(WAFA SC) will have to defend their unbeaten home run when they host Wa All Stars at their Sogakope Astro turf pitch.

The soccer mathematicians play host to the division’s table toppers in search of their first-ever win over the northen blues.

Wa All Stars dropped points in their own backyard ahead of the long trip to Sogakope but their unbeaten run in three fixtures against their host gives them a fighting chance.

The league’s leaders have been boosted by the return to full fitness of star man, Paul Asare De Vries, who lighted the Wa park at home to Ashgold SC.

The league’s most nomadic side have lost just four of the last 9 away fixtures including three wins to their name.

WAFA SC, on the other hand, boasts of the second best defensive home record in the top flight and, incidentally behind their host, but the return of Paul Asare and the imposing Richard Arthur could prove fatal for the soccer mathematicians.

A win for Wa All Stars will put them in pole position for the championship, with two successive home fixtures to honour after this game whiles WAFA SC will be relying on the wicked goal keeping heroics of Razak Abalora for any likely point from the game.

With Samuel Atta Mensah filling-in perfectly for the departed Emmanuel Ocran, the expected void left by the latter is not being felt.

Can the leaders repeat the form that saw them spank Aduana Stars, Hearts of Oak or Berekum Chelsea? The hosts spanked Hasaacas 5-0 in a mass demolition exercise though.
