Medeama Eye Victory In Tanzania

Medeama coach Prince Owusu is hopeful of a win in his side’s third CAF Confederations Cup group game against Young Africans.

The Yellow and Mauves will play in their second away game in the group stage desperately in search of a first win in the group phase of the competition after losing to Mazembe and drawing with MO Bejaia.

For Owusu, who joined the club midway through their campaign, a win in Tanzania could kick start their quest for continental glory and also achieve their aim of reaching the semifinals of the competition.

“We are poised for the game, we have watched a few clips of them and we have adopted a strategy,” he said.” Owusu told reporters before team departed for Tanzania on Wednesday night.

“We know their strength and we have worked on that. We just hope and pray we get good results and Ghanaians must pray for us as well.” He added.

Medeama will play as guests of Young Africans at the 60,000 capacity National stadium in Dar es Salaam.
