Netherlands: Ex-Ghana International Nets Beauty In NEC Win

Ex-Black Stars tricky attacker, Quincy  Owusu Abeyie, scored a solo goal for Dutch side NEC Nemegin in a preseason win over AS Almere.


The wide man wowed his new employers with his quick feet in a performance reserved for the elite class of players in the game.


The former Arsenal player opened the scoring for the Eredivise side in a crucial 3-1 triumph ahead Of the opening fixtures of the season.


The Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker is on trials with the club after failing to land a substantive deal with a number of clubs.


His performance against AS Almere however looks almost certain to earn him a place at the club, as he returns to his homeland after several years of a nomadic career.


The speedy attacker starred for the Black Stars during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations highlighted by his solo goal against the Elephants of Ivory Coast in a 4-2 triumph for the Black Stars.
