Robert Dabuo Relieved To Have Ended Winless With Ashgold SC

Ashgold sporting club’s shot stopper Robert Dabuo sieved a sigh of relief after ending a nine match winless with the miners.

Ashgold extended their toothless run into the opening matches of the first round before ending their lengthy winless run with a 2-0 triumph over Techiman City FC at the Len Clay Stadium.

A brace from Shafiu Mumuni handed the champions their first three points in nine attempts and a cushion away from the drop.

The former Wa All Stars custodian however expressed his satisfaction after ending their barren run on the domestic Championship.

Robert Dabuo, an integral member of the title winning side for the miners commended the fighting spirit of his team mates during the troubled time.

“it was equivalent to winning the league last season not in terms of points but it’s relief. We are now set for an impressive run on the league after this win. We deserve more than what we went through as a group of players. Hopefully it kicks off our season”, Robert Dabuo told sports crusader.

The lanky goal keeper rose to prominence when he won the 2009 FIFA U20 world championship with Ghana in Egypt.

He has since managed 9 of the opening 17 matches for the Miners in tandem with Fatawu Dauda.
