Egypt: John Antwi Suffers Injury In Ahly Stalemate

Ghanaian forward, John Antwi, injured his hamstring in Ahly’s stalemate with Wydad AC in the CAF Champions League.

The Egypt-based forward left the pitch after 30 minutes due to the hamstring and was replaced by Solia in the 0-0 thriller.

The Ghanaian scored the crucial goal which earned Ahly a place in the last eight, but the latest  injury might ruin his continental campaign if the scan results imply a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Ahly wrapped up their ninth domestic Championship in the last ten years and looks set to make a case in the ongoing CAF Champions League.
