Ghana duo of Baba Rahman and Christian Atsu slumped to an opening defeat in their pre-season friendly against Rapid Vienna.
The pair endured an indifferent start to the season as the Blues begin a new chapter under Italian trainer, Antonio Conte.
Baba Rahman was handed a starting berth by new manager, Conte, in the first preseason shake-up but could only last 45 minutes while Atsu saw out the final nine minutes of the game.
Two goals from Jolington
and Tomi Tomi handed Rapid a fully deserved win over their West London-based opponents.
Both players have reportedly been earmarked for early departures ahead of the opening rounds of the 2016/17 EPL season.
