New Chelsea signing, Ngolo Kante has mentioned he just couldn’t turn down the offer of wearing the Blue jersey after he was informed of a deal from Antonio Conte’s side.
The French midfielder completed his £32million deal from defending champions, Leicester City earlier today.
And his first interview after signing in the dotted line with the London-based club, Kante admitted he just couldn’t have missed In on the opportunity to join Conte’s team.
After signing a five-year contract, Kante said: ‘I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a dream come true for me.
‘The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down.
“My first season in English football was very special and now I hope to go on to achieve even more during my time as a Chelsea player. I am looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and helping the club achieve a lot of success.”
The 25-year-old has become Chelsea’s second signing after Mitchy Batshuayi joined from Olympique Marseille.
