Beach Soccer Unity Cup Launched

The Gana beach Soccer Association in partnership with Puma, Ghandour Industries, and Santa Cola has launched the 2016 Beach Soccer Unity cup.

The lunch took place at the conference hall of the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon wwith the main event is scheduled for the weekend of July 15 -17 at the Laboma Beach Resort.

Speaking at the lunch, the President of the Gana Beach Sccer Association, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah noted that the tournament will afford Coaches of the national team the opportunity to see at first hand players who will make up the National beach Soccer team as they prepare for upcoming competitions.

He added that the tournament is just the beginning of many good things to come as beach Soccer continues to grow in Ghana.

Mr Ankrah also commended the sponsors of the Unity Cup and also called on all stakeholders to come on board in making the fastest growing sport one of choice for Ghanaians.

He opined that the Gana Beach Soccer Association is poised to extend the sport to the entire country by way of importing sea sand to non coastal regions of the country.

That, however will require funding.

He therefore called for a collaborative support from all Ghanaians to ensure sponsors get value for money.
