Sergio Traguil, Head coach of league leaders, Hearts of Oak, has called on fans to throw their weight behind the team as they aim to cement their position in top spot with a win against Berekum Chelsea later today.
Fans of the Rainbow club are yet to forgive management after parting ways with fan favorite, Kenichi Yatsuashi and this has seen stadium attendance, especially at home, reduce drastically.
And this has got caretaker coach, Sergio, worried, hence, calling for the fans to come in their numbers to support the team especially now that they have top spot position and need a convincing win ahead of their meeting with arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Speaking during his pre-match presser, the man nicknamed ‘Port-Alegre Mourinho’ said, “please, come and support the players because it is very important mentally because anytime the supporters play with us just like we saw in Sekondi – the supporters played with us and were part of our team, we played because they were with us on the pitch; [we got the result].”
“The supporters are part of our team and so if we have the support at the Accra Sports Stadium, we will win the game,” he added.
