Berekum Chelsea will be the odds on favourites to collect the three points when they host Ebusua Dwarfs in their Ghana Premier League (GPL) Match-Day 19 encounter on Sunday.
The Golden City Park at Berekum has been a good hunting ground for Chelsea since they joined the Ghanaian top-flight, and they will count on that against a Dwarfs side the has been poor travelers this season.
Chelsea has 23 points from the 18 games they have played and sit in ninth position on the log. They will feel confident of winning this one especially so after earning a valuable point in the first round game in Cape Coast.
A win could take them to sixth on the table after this weekend’s games if other results go their way, and, they will be inspired to go for the three points.
Coach Solomon Odjo and his charges were heavily bruised in their Brong Ahafo regional derby against Bechem United last Sunday, and, will be pressured to return to winning ways.
Against Dwarfs, it should be a clear cut one for them as the Abontoa Abontoa Boys have not been impressive on the road this season.
They have lost all but one of their away games, and, it will be difficult to see how they draw inspiration from to undo a Chelsea side that is very formidable at home.
Dwarfs are involved in the relegation struggle as they sit in 14th position with 20 points, having won five, drawn five and lost eight of their 18 games.
In four season’s Chelsea has lost just two of their home games, and should be able to post their eighth win of the campaign on Sunday afternoon.
