Yahaya Mohammed Not Loosing Sleep For Barren Run

Yahaya Mohammed is not disappointed he has gone two games consecutively without scoring.

The former Kotoko versatile player has nine goals in 12 matches, eight of which came at the Nana Agyemang Badu park.

However, he failed to add to his tally on Sunday when they hosted league leaders Hearts of Oak.

“Well I have to say that playing 1-1 was not a bad score line after all,” Yahaya Mohammed said after the game.

“The game was a difficult one. We all know Hearts are doing well and we knew we were not going to have it on a silver platter.

“We are disappointed we didn’t win but we are okay with a point. When you look have to look at the game, I can say we were unfortunate so for me its past and gone.” he said.

Emmanuel Akuoku rose above all the men in the box to redirect Godfred Saka’s free kick beyond Samuel Akurugu, before Cosmos Dauda drew the Phobians level deep into the second half of the game.

Expectations were high for the ‘Terminator’ to increase his tally, but he failed. He is not disappointed he didn’t score because he is optimistic of scoring more in subsequent games.

“I am not bothered at all that I failed to score because I know very well that the goals will continue coming. Not scoring in one game shouldn’t be a problem. We play as a team and the team did well,” he noted.
