Manchester City Striker Set For Swansea

Swansea City have expressed an interest in re-signing Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony this summer.

Bony, who left for Manchester City in January 2015, has struggled for game time at the Etihad stadium but he could be handed a lifeline by his former club who are considering a reunion, according to the Mail.

City are reportedly content with a parting of the ways and willing to sell around for £18 million.Since his £25 million move – still a record fee received for Swansea – the Ivorian has only managed 11 goals across 46 games in all competitions.

Much of those appearances have been off the bench and this season playing time has been reduced with the rise of 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho.

Pep Guardiola’s arrival could also spell bad news for the striker as the two-time European Cup-winning coach wants to add mobility in the City ranks.

Bony yearning for regular first-team football ahead of next year’s African Cup of Nations might have to prematurely end his stay in Manchester.

This has piqued Swansea’s interest who are expecting both Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis to leave at the end of this season, according to the report.
