Hearts To Resume Training Friday

Premier Club, Accra Hearts of Oak will resume training on Friday ahead of their next Ghana Premier League (GPL) in Accra next week.

The Phobians, who top the GPL standing after 11 games, have not trained since Monday when they returned from Berekum where they defeated Chelsea 1-0 at the Golden City Park to move top of the standing.

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi will seek to put his charges through their paces ahead of the visit of Sekondi Hasaacas to the Accra Sports Stadium next midweek.

The Japanese-American will welcome back to training Samudeen Ibrahim and Thomas Abbey who have been long term absentees with separate injuries.

Samudeen was injured in the leg in their first GPL game of the season against New Edubiase United, and, has not played since.

Abbey sustained a rib injury in their away game with Ebusua Dwarfs at Cape Coast in Match-Day Three action and has also not played since.

However, the good news for all Hearts of Oak fans is that both players have been declared fit to return to training ahead of their next GPL game.

There is a positive karma blowing in the camp of the Phobians after returning to the top of the GPL log last weekend with their win over Chelsea at Berekum.

Fans who will troop to the Legon Ajax Park on Friday, will therefore see the two players part of the training session, and, the technical team will access their fitness level before passing them fit enough to return to competitive action.
