Joseph Lamptey Invited By FIFA For Rio Olympics Games

Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey has been invited by the FIFA Referees Committee for the upcoming Olympics games slated for Brazil.

The celebrated FIFA badge official made the grade for the August 3-21 showdown in Rio for the multi faceted global sports festival.

The 42 year old remains one of Ghana’s finest officials in modern day football and look set to feature in more international tournaments in the coming days.

Lamptey got the nod alongside Peruvian Haro Diego in the list of officials billed for the men’s football competition in Rio.

His appointment could potentially seal him a spot in one of the 2018 FIFA World Cup or 2019 Women’s world cup if he gains the trust of the Committee.
