Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah has hailed his defence following their sixth clean sheet in ten Premier League matches this season with the latest one being the 1-0 win over Bechem United on Wednesday.
The former Black Stars goalie has been difficult to beat since he took over the role against Ashgold on match day two.
Sowah was at his best on Wednesday and although he replicated his top form, the confident goalie acknowledged the contribution of his defenders and said their performance was a good reason for his clean sheets.
“The defenders have been super” he told Asantekotokosc.com. “I couldn’t have been that stubborn to beat in the post if they haven’t been giving me the needed protection. The defensive record is a fantastic performance. It’s down to the experience we have gathered together at the rear.
“We’ve had to make changes in the last few weeks because of injuries but they have all performed well. The midfielders and strikers have also been helpful because we start defending from the front. We go into each game feeling positive and knowing that we can count on each other’s efforts” said Sowah.
