Ghana"s Top Referee Banned For 8 Matches

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee has approved the match panel review recommendation to ban referee Willam Agbovi for eight competitive matches effective on Monday May 16, 2016.

The review panel’s report  revealed that Referee Agbovi failed to award a penalty to Wa ALL Stars against Medeama around the 88th minute of their Ghana Premier League played on match day 10 at the Tarkwa TNA Park


 


Referee Solomon Mordey and his assistant Micheal Asare have also been ban for four and six matches respectively also effective on May 16.


 


The match review panel found Mordey to have awarded a foul against aduana stars attacker when he should have awarded a foul rather against the defender of Liberty Proffesionals around the 85 minute of the match .


 


Recommendations where also approved by the Executive Committee to the match officials namely Prince Amoah, Abu Willams, Emmanuel Boaten and Robert Dodoo
