Div One League Chairman Blame Police

The Chairman of the Division One League Board, Owoahene Acheampong has accused Ghanaian police officers of doing nothing to end crowd violence at various stadia in league matches.

Crowd violence at our various stadia has been on the rise despite the presence of police to ensure sanity.

And Mr. Acheampong claim the police officers do not perform their duties to end the barbaric acts which often lead to brutalities.

“Da-in day-out, police officers are on duty yet violence keeps on increasing. Police officers watch on when fans are perpetrating violence but will do nothing,” he alleged.

“At some of the centers, the hooligans are known by the police officers, yet they fail to arrest them. So if they do their job well, the violence at out centers will be mitigated,” he added.
