GPL Match-Day 20 Preview: Inter Allies v WAFA

International Allies will look to bounce back from their defeat to AshantiGold SC in their last Ghana Premier League (GPL) game when they host WAFA in a Match-Day 20 encounter at the Tema Park.

The ‘Eleven Is To One’ side have lost eight of their 19 games this season and sits in 15th position on the league log in the 16-club contest.

They are heavily involved in the relegation struggle and will need to get points on board as quickly as possible if they hope to avoid being relegated at the end of the season.

All their four wins this season have been at home and, they will look to make it a fifth when they welcome the academy lads to the port city of Tema.

WAFA have been poor travelers this season as they have lost all but three of their away encounters, a scenario that could play into the hands of the home side, Inter Allies in this fixture.

In the first round tie played at the Red Bull Arena, Sogakope, they settled for a goalless draw game and, this could be another closely fought encounter.

WAFA are seventh on the table with 27 points and, could move up two places to fifth if they win and other results go their way whilst a win for Inter Allies could see them jump out of the relegation zone.
