Black Stars Trainer Happy With GPL Quality

Black Stars deputy coach and Head Coach of the local black Stars Maxwell Konadu has expressed his satisfaction with the quality in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The former Asante Kotoko trainer who is in charge of the local component of Ghana’s Senior National Team is delighted with the quality he has seen so far in the 17-week old league.

Ashanti Gold defender Kadri Mohammed, ex WAFA striker Samuel Tetteh and goalkeeping duo of Richard Ofori and Fatau Dauda were all named in the last Black Stars Squad and for Konadu, it is all because the quality is high.

“I saw the match between Bechem United and Aduana Stars and the standard was very good”,  he said,  adding that, “We were all impressed with what we saw”.

“The league is very good and we are happy with the standard.

“We have to make sure that we have more pitches. When we do that, the players will perform better than they are doing now”

Ghana’s next assignment will be the final AFCON 2017 qualifier against Rwanda in Ghana and with qualification already secured, several high performing players in the Ghanaian top flight will hope to be given the chance to exhibit their talent.
