Liberty Professionals captain, Samuel Sarfo has backed New Edubiase United to move out of the relegation zone by the end of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Despite leading the Scientific Soccer lads to a home win and an away draw against the Bekwai based side, the 25-year old defender believes that New Edubiase have what it takes to maintain their top flight status.
Speaking exclusively to SportsCrusader.com following his side’s 1-1 draw with Edubiase on match week 18 over the weekend, Sarfo said there is still time for them to move up the ladder.
“Their[New Edubiase] position on the log didn’t have an effect on the game on Sunday”, he said.
“They are in the relegation Zone buy they have chances of moving up because the league is still young and they are playing good football”, Sarfo added.
New Edubiase have only managed just four wins and four draws in 18 matches and are currently bottom of the league log with 16 points, 4 points adrift of safety.
With wins proven hard to come by, Coach Anthony Commey’s side will hope to deny the odds when they travel to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars on Wednesday.
