South Africa based Ghanaian centre back Lawrence Lartey signed off his PSL campaign with a final day triumph over BV Wits.
The 22 year old Ajax Cape Town’s defensive cop proved crucial for the mid table side in a slim 1-0 win over the second place visitors.
Lartey joined the PSL side as the best defender on the Ghanaian domestic Championship whiles playing for Ashgold and has since extended his award winning displays at the back for his new paymasters.
Ajax Cape Town ended a run of six matches without a win with a crucial final day win over the high flying BV Wits thanks to a solitary strike from Nathan Paules five minutes into the second half.
The Cape Town based top flight campaigners ended their inconsistent season on the tenth slot whiles BV Wits trailed only Sundowns in the division.
Lawrence Lartey has since pocketed 15 odd appearances in the red and whites including five yellows and one sending off.
