Gideon Baah Scores Debut MLS Goal

Major League Soccer based Ghanaian defender, Gideon Baah came off the bench to score for New York Red Bulls in their heavy win over New York City Football Club (NYCFC).

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko fullback came on as a late substitute for New York and scored to complete the strange 0-7 triumph over their star studded host.

The gargling defender joined the MLS outfit from Finnish side HJK but has since been restricted to just four appearances all season due to a bow with injuries.

The returning defender however made the most of his ten minutes offered him in the New York derby with the seventh of the night for his side.

First half strikes from Dax McCarthy and Bradly Wright Philips set the visitors in course for the landslide win over Patrick Viera and his expensively assembled Galaxy of Stars.

Ghanaian compatriot Loyd Sam tamed the much fancied Andrie Pirlo and Frank Lampard at the centre of the pitch whiles Kwadwo Poku failed to make the match day squad for NYCFC ahead of the demolition exercise.
