Exclusive: Former GPL Goal Machine Set To Join Kotoko

Report reaching SportsCrusader.com indicates that striker Nathaniel Asamoah is nearing a return to Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The 26-year old goal-poacher joined Moroccan top flight side Raja Casablanca from Ghanaian side Medeama SC in August last year after scoring 18 league goals in 25 appearances for the Tarkwa based club.

However, Asamoah was released by Raja in December 2015, just four months into his contract following a string of unimpressive performances.

The former Wa All Stars forward returned to Ghana in January and has since been on the radar of several clubs including Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko but a source close to the Player has disclosed to SportsCrusader he is set to join the Porcupine Warriors.

According to the source, Asamoah has held talks with the management of Asante Kotoko and agreement has been reached.

The striker has been a offered a lucrative two year contract and he is likely to sign in the coming days after which he will begin training with the Kumasi based club ahead of the start of the second round of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.
