Gyan Injury Concern For Ghana Ahead Of AFCON Qualifier

Shanghai SIPG forward, Asamoah Gyan’s injury has become a great worry for Ghana Black Stars Coach Avram Grant ahead of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2017 qualifier against Mauritius.


The Black Stars captain was substituted with just 10-minutes into a league game against Beijing Guoan in a packed weekend of league games.


Details of the 30-year-old striker’s injury are still unknown as the SIPG medical team are yet to diagnose the extent of injury to their prized-asset.


Grant is expected to name his squad for the friendly against Guinea in the upcoming days but sources say he will delay it to know the full details his skipper’s fitness.


Ghana will play  Mauritius on 6 June.
