New York Red Bulls Ghanaian left back, Gideon Baah sustained injury in their Major League Soccer (MLS) 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew on Saturday.
Baah joined the US side in the 2015 transfer window and has been an instant hit with the Red Bull side with a goal to his name in his debut season.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender started his second successive game since returning from injury in mid-March.
The extent of injury will be disclosed when the medical team scans the injury to determine the duration he will sit out for the remainder of the season.
