Exclusive: Techiman City Trainer Rubbishes Reports On Queen Mother"s Approach

Experienced trainer for Techiman City FC Yussif Abubakari has vehemently rubbished reports he refused to return to his role after been approached by the Queen Mother of the land.


The media engulfed former Heart of Lions trainer vacated his post with two matches to the end of the first round of the season due to security reasons but has debunked reports in the local media he was approached by the Queen mother of the land for a possible return to his managerial seat.


The former Hearts Of Oak trainer enjoyed a dream start to life at the Nana Ohene Ameyaw Park but fell out with a section of the roaring crowd in the latter stages of the first half of the season.


Investigations made by sports crusader confirmed that the ex National Sports college trainer was never approached by the number one lady of the land for a possible return to the dugout.


Further checks revealed that the former Lions boss did not sign any official contract with the Techiman based Premier League newcomers at the start of the season.


Yussif Abubakari missed the last two fixtures of the first round but look destined to return to his post after the Kumasi Asante Kotoko clash on Sunday.


Techiman City and Wa All Stars remain the only clubs to have finished the first round unbeaten at home.


The veteran trainer will likely sit down with management of the club on Monday to finalise their contract negotiations.


The ace trainer will however be providing support for the Brong Ahafo based side when they host Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Nana Ohene Ameyaw Park.
