John Paintsil Named Kaizer Chiefs Coach

South African PSL side Kaizer Chiefs have named former Ghana international Paintsil as their news assistant trainer.


The 35-year old will replace Doctor Khumalo as Steve Komphela’s right hand man.


The former former Fulham and Maccabi Tel Aviv star called time on his football career last week,  six months after Maritzburg United released him.


Paintsil joins The Kaizer Chiefs coaching with tones of experience having played under some astute managers during his playing days at both club level and the National team.







The former Black Stars man have an idea of South Africa football having played for Santos in the Absa Premiership in the 2013/14 season before switching to Maritzburg United the following season.


Also joining Komphela’s technical team is physical trainer Marco Munhoz and goalkeeper coach Alexandre Revoredo.
