Carlos Bacca Hands Colombia Copa Podium

Columbia edged out USA for the bronze medal after posting a 1-0 win over Jurgen Klinsman’s charges.

A solitary strike from AC Milan star forward, Carlos Bacca, handed Columbia a podium finish after their semis heartbreak at the hands of Chile.

Santiago Aris teed up the former Seville forward for the game’s only goal in a keenly balanced third and fourth place clash.

A Gonzalo Higuan brace denied USA a place in Sunday’s final while Chile eased pass Colombia to set up a repeat of last year’s Copa finals.

Nasty scenes on the 90th minute reduced both sides to ten men, Michael Orozco and Santiago Ariz, the culprits for the teams.

Later tonight, Argentina will be taking on Chile for the continental bragging rights in the Copa America final showdown.
