Injury Update: Wa All Stars Midfielder Ruled Out For Rest Of Season

Wa All Stars’ versatile midfielder , Wahidu Mumuni has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a nasty injury against local rivals Wa Rockets FC.

The utility midfielder was stretchered-off the pitch in the MTN FA Cup quarter final clash in a local derby and has since been confined to the treatment room.

The former Wa Anokye Stars has made himself a pillar in the Wa All Stars setup across the pitch due to his ability to play either in defence or at the middle of the pitch.

The hard-tackling midfielder is noted for his ferocious shots from either foot, but a lengthy spell on the treatment table could hamper his chances of returning to the first team before the end of the current season.

Wahidu made his usual explosive start to the FA Cup tie but was soon bundled to the Wa regional hospital in what looks like an apparent broken leg.

An initial eight weeks has been placed on the midfielder before his second phase of recovery begins later in August.

Wahidu’s pile driver at the Dawu park shared the spoils between Wa All Stars and Dreams FC and has been tipped to win the goal of the season, in addition to a host of other beautiful strikes.
