Bulgaria Based Ghana Youth International Excited About The Quality Of The GPL

Bulgarian based Ghanaian defender Daniel Sowatey has expressed his excitement at the quality of the Ghana Premier league despite lacking a headline sponsor.


The Shumen utility centre back ranked the domestic Championship as one of the best in the African continent amidst legal tussles and managerial setbacks.


The former National Under 20 star heaped praises on the home based players for their aesthetic execution of their raw talents across the league centres.


The former Great Olympics and Amidaus Professional versatile defender commended the media for the mass coverage offered the league and it’s players both at home and beyond.







speaking to sports crusader on the Ghana Premier league’s progress in the past years, the ex Black Satellites defender endorsed the GPL.


“Many people prefer European football to the Ghana Premier league but our current season has been exceptional. It has outgrown all expectations from the followers and it’s organisers. It is almost at par with the best leagues in the continents”, Sowah told sports crusader.

On the local media, the robust defender ticked the boxes for the Ghanaian media.


“The media has been very integral in the progress of the league so far. Their platform is one tool that can usher our players and the league at large. I think we should lease with the media house to package the league to the outside world “, Daniel pleaded.


The Ambidextrous midfielder turned defender starred prominently for Shumen across the 2015/16 but look set move with options on board.
