Nolito In Manchester to Finalise £13.8million City Deal

Manchester City will complete the £13.8million capture of Spain forward Nolito within the next 24 hours.

Spain’s exit from Euro 2016 has accelerated City’s pursuit of Nolito, who has arrived in Manchester to complete his move.

Nolito will become new City boss Pep Guardiola’s second signing, following the £21m capture of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

City triggered the buy-out clause in Nolito’s Celta Vigo contract this month and have beaten off interest from Guardiola’s former club Barcelona to sign the striker.

He was pictured in Manchester restaurant San Carlo on Wednesday as his transfer drew closer:

Nolito, 29, who scored 12 goals in La Liga last season, is set to sign a three-year contract after undergoing a medical in Manchester.

The forward was a regular feature in Spain’s line-up in France and scored once in the win over Turkey.

Nolito will become City’s second signing after Ilkay Gundogan.
