GPL Preview: Can Kotoko End Techiman City"s Home Invincibility

Having ended the first round of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) with their home superiority over visiting teams intact, Techiman City’s dominance will be tested tomorrow (Sunday) at the Den when they host Asante Kotoko.

The Citizens had a blistering start on their debut top flight game against Berekum Chelsea, sinking them courtesy of Issaka Ibrahim’s only goal of the day, and they will be motivated to rise and repeat the feet against the Porcupine Warriors.

Moreover, the Techiman boys were drubbed 4-2 at the Baba Yara sports stadium in the reverse fixture about three weeks ago, and they will walk onto the turf with the intent to redeem their tattered image and the points they lost to the Porcupines.

Asante Kotoko however, head into this encounter after the board had told the General Manager of the club Opoku Nti that his term of office which comes to an end on 30th June is likely not going to be renewed.

Michael Osei took over from coach David Duncan on match day 7 and revived the fortunes of Asante Kotoko, who were at the time lying bottom of the league ladder. He propelled his team to 7 league victories out of 9 league games played to finish the first round on 3rd position on the league log.
