CAF CL: CAF Bans ES Setif

Confederation of African Football(CAF) has disqualified Algerian side ES Setif from the ongoing champions league for their gross misconduct in their clash with Mamelodi sundowns.


The Algerian giants has been ousted from the elite club competition for gross misconduct which truncated the group B clash in the tourney.


The North African marred the beauty of the game with several pitch invasion and other missiles in the opening round of the group stages.


Sundowns missed out on the group stages but was recalled into the money zone after similar ban from CAF.


The PSL side crushed out of the confederation cup group stages to Ghanaian side Medeama SC but look set for the semis with three clubs in group now.







Sundowns will now battle Zeso United and Enyimba FC for a place in the semi finals of the competition.
