GPL Update: Midweek Thrills On Wednesday

The first midweek action of the second round of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) comes off this Wednesday with matches at all but one league centre.

Seven games will be played with the encounter between WAFA and Medeama SC set to be postponed as a result of the latter’s involvement in continental campaign on Wednesday.

Dansoman: Liberty Professionals v Hearts of Oak

Dansoman

Accra Hearts of Oak will look to keep their unbeaten away record going when they play Liberty Professionals at Dansoman in what should be a gave to savour as Liberty won the first round tie 1-0 at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Kumasi: Asante Kotoko v Wa All Stars

Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are third on the table, will welcome Wa All Stars to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as they attempt to record their fourth straight home win.

All Stars, who lead the table and will have something to say about this knowing a slip in the Garden City could see them toppled at the summit of the table.

Dormaa: Aduana Stars v Ebusua Dwarfs

Aduana Stars who lost to Bechem United last Sunday, are fourth and, could move second with a win over relegation threatened Ebusua Dwarfs at the Nana Agyemang Badu 1 Park.

Dawu: Dreams FC v New Edubiase United

Debutants Dreams FC will seek to record their seventh win of the season when they host bottom club, New Edubiase United at the Dawu Park where they have been impressive so far.

Berekum: Berekum Chelsea v Inter Allies

Berekum Chelsea will count on their strong showing at home as they attempt to get back to winning ways after losing to All Stars at Wa, when they welcome troubled Inter Allies to the Golden City Park.

Obuasi: AshantiGold SC v Techiman City

Defending champions, AshantiGold SC who are involved in the relegation struggle, will host new entrants, Techiman City at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi in a game they cannot afford to drop points.

Sekondi: Sekondi Hasaacas v Bechem United

Troubled Sekondi Hasaacas, who lost to Inter Allies at Tema on Sunday, will seek to restore some image when they welcome poor away travellers, Bechem United to the Sekondi Stadium at Essipong.

Sogakope: WAFA v Medeama SC (postponed)

The game between WAFA and Medeama SC at Sogakope has been postponed as a result of Medeama’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
